On this 13 day guided tour you will experience the rich art, architecture, interiors, culture and cuisine of Spain from Madrid to Toledo, Cordoba, Seville, Ronda, Granada, Barcelona, and Bilbao. Trace how the religions and cultures of the Iberians, Greeks, Romans, Jews, Moors and Christians influenced this romantic land. Visit the Alhambra Palace to the world famous Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Gehry. Sample authentic Spanish cuisine, and visit local markets. 

DAY 1- LOS ANGELES-MADRID
Depart Los Angeles International Airport for Madrid

DAY 2- MADRID (D)
Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Afternoon parnoramic sightseeing tour of Madrid and a visit to the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum. Welcome Dinner

DAY 3 - MADRID (B)
Morning visit to the Royal Palace and the Prado Museum to view works by El Greco, Goya, and Velasquez plus Titian and Bosch.  Visit the Convent of the Descalzas Reales and the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofia which houses the works of Miro, Dali and Picasso’s work “Guernica.”

DAY 4- MADRID/TOLEDO/MADRID (B/L)
After breakfast, depart for a full day tour of Toledo.  Lunch included at Hostal del Cardenal.  Visit the Museum of Santa Cruz Cathedral with the Sacristy’s collection of El Greco’s works and the Church of Santo Tome with El Greco’s masterpiece the “Burial of Count Orgaz”.   Sightseeing of the old market town, Talavera, and the Monastery cloister of San Juan de los Reyes.

DAY 5- MADRID/CORDOBA/SEVILLE (B)
Morning departure through Don Quixote’s land of La Mancha to Cordoba, The Islamic empire’s capital in the 10th century. Visit the magnificent 8th C. Mesquite Arab Mosque-Cathedral, before continuing to Seville.

DAY 6- SEVILLE (B/D)
Morning sightseeing tour of Seville, includng Reales Alcazares’ Moorish Palace The 14th century Gothic Cathedral, Maria Luisa Park and the former Jewish Quarter “Barrio de Santa Cruz” Dinner at typical Andalucian restaurant.

DAY 7- SEVILLE (B)
Day at leisure to enjoy this beautiful capital city of Andalusia, with its historic buildings, cobbled streets and lovely parks.   Late afternoon visits to the architecturally rich Casa de Pilatos and Casa de la Lebrija are planned. Evening: Optional Flamenco Show at Patio Sevillano.

DAY 8- SEVILLE/RONDA/GRANADA (B/L)
Depart through typical Andalusian villages to Jerez de la Frontera, famous for its Sherry Wine.  Visit a bodega to sample the wine.  Continue to Ronda a city perched on a rocky spur with one of the oldest bullrings in Spain. Lunch at the Parador de Ronda before continuing to Granada for overnight. 1 Night-Granada

DAY 9- GRANADA/BARCELONA (B)
Morning visit to the beautiful Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens, summer residence of the Moorish Royal family. Transfer to airport to board flight to Barcelona Arrival transfer Barcelona airport to hotel. 3 Nights-Barcelona

DAY 10- BARCELONA (B/D) .Morning visit to the Gothic Cathedral, Ramblas Boulevard, Spanish Village and the Cataluna Art Musem. Free time for lunch on own, followed by visit to Gaudi’s Holy Family Church and Guell Park.  Dinner at typical Restaurant in the Marina.

DAY 11- BARCELONA (B) Free day to enjoy Barcelona’s various museums, the Gothic Quarter, the Picasso Museum, Casa Mila, historic churches, and avenues of shops.

DAY 12- BARCELONA/BILBAO (B/D)
Morning transfer to airport to board flight to Bilbao. Arrival transfer and hotel check in. Afternoon visit to Bilbao and the famous Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Gehry. Farewell dinner. 1 Night -Bilbao

DAY 13- BILBAO/MADRID/LAX
Tour concludes. Transfer to airport.
